Hello!

Posted by Joseph on August 4, 2007

I trust all my readership is doing well!  My cousin, Benjamin Smith mentioned to me that my blog is not updated enough, so here are a few brief comments.  Clarissa and I have guests this weekend.  Benjamin Smith of the Shelbyville Shouter and Nathan Smith, Assistant Dean of Men (GBS) and Aunt Sharon are spending part of the weekend with us.  It is good to see them again.  We spent a lot of time together over the last year.  I spent men weekends and holidays (they live about 40 minutes from where Clarissa grew up).  It was exciting to see them again.

Tomorrow I’m preaching from the Book of Job and the Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Eph. 2.

Well I trust all of my 32 readers have a blessed Lord’s Day tomorrow!

In Christ,

JLK, President, Canadian Perspective Inc.

Just a Note…

Posted by Joseph on July 28, 2007

Greetings from the the Kingston Frontenac Public Library.  I trust a few of my readers will receive an email from Clarissa, sometime in the next hour or so.  We have come to the library to check our email and to update my blog.

We just returned from Vermontville Camp (the Northern Zone camp for the NY Pilgrims).  It was a beautiful camp with a nice group of people.  I’ve come to the conclusion, that the Pilgrims are some of the nicest people on the earth.  You could almost think that they are all Canadians!  The speakers were Bro. B.J. Ward and Dr. Paul Kaufman.

This evening we are delivering cookies to our new neighbours.  Pray for us as we reach out to those around us.

We’ll try to post pictures later.  If you want to see pictures and you are from Canada, you can go and visit my mother of if you are in the States you can go visit Clarissa’s mother.  I’m sure they have pictures they can show you for now.

Well, I trust all my readership is behaving themselves!  (Maybe all of you, except my brother).

Blessings,

Joseph Krohn, editor-in-chief

Until I write again…

Creation Museum

Posted by Joseph on June 14, 2007

Today my future father-in-law and mother-in-law (two days from today) took Clarissa, her sister Darla and myself to the Creation Museum in Kentucky.  It was very exciting to see it and all of the exhibits that support a conservative view of creation, with six literal days.  The museum had dinasaurs with moving parts.  We met men like the Apostle Paul, Adam and Eve, and Noah.  I also met a journalist from Italy.

Elmwood Wesleyan Church

Posted by Joseph on May 1, 2007

I just got back from preaching at Elmwood Wesleyan Church.  The pastor’s name is Scott Planck.  He is sponsoring a GBS student led revival where he has different senior level ministerial students preach each night.  Tonight I preached on the Perfect Heart (1 Chronicles 16:9).  The sermon went well and afterwards Pastor Planck took us out to Big Boy to eat.  This was perhaps my first time (atleast that I remember) eating there.  The food and fellowship were excellent.  This church is an well situated in an urban area, but there is a constant migration of people (Hispanics) which makes it difficult to always keep the people coming.  The one interesting element was that a train runs right beside the church.  So atleast one time in my message I had to speak louder than the train whistle.  Thank the Lord that we can live lives completely surrendered to Him.  He is a faithful God that will never forsake us, as long as we continue to seek after Him (1 Chronicles 15:2).
