A Call for India

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the name of our Lord!  I hope this letter finds you doing well and enjoying the blessings of God.  It is our privilege to serve such a wonderful God, who has promised that He is always with us!

I am a native of India, from the city of Rajahmundry, located in south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.  God brought me here to America to study and learn more about Him, so that I would be adequately prepared for His ministry.  I have had an excellent -education at God’s Bible School and College in Cincinnati, and currently being mentored by my pastor, Barry Clardy, pastor of Princeton Pike Church of God.  God has blessed me with numerous opportunities to preach and to reach out to the lost in America.  I thank God for His blessings on me and for the honor of ministering amongst such fine people here in America.

I have always felt that my calling was to India and I would have probably gone back to my home town Rajahmundry after the completion of my education.  But God has been putting the city of Bangalore on my heart for more than a year now.  I feel that God wants me to go to this city to minister.  Bangalore is the capital of the state of Karnataka (south India).  The city of Bangalore according to Wikipedia (the free encyclopedia) has an estimated population of 5,281,927 with only 5.8% of this population being Christian that means that over 94% of the city’s population has never experienced the redemptive power of the gospel in their lives.  The vast majority of the city is Hindu, mixed with significant representation of the Islamic religion.

I must have God’s help and presence, in order for this ministry to be fruitful.  Please partner with me in prayer that God will use me to be a blessing to my people.

Thanks for taking the time to read this letter.  I appreciate this privilege to share my heart  with you.

In His service,

Samson Godatha

College Course On How to Keep the Bathroom Clean

Posted by Joseph on February 9, 2007

It’s never too late for toilet training. Some Malaysian colleges may soon offer courses on how to keep public restrooms clean, the national news agency reported Thursday. The effort is meant to help Malaysia’s public lavatories become as hygienic as those in countries such as Britain and Singapore, Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Robert Lau was quoted as saying by Bernama news agency. “Clean toilets cannot merely be judged by the eyes,” Lau was quoted as saying. “This matter also involves the use of cleaning equipment, soap, fragrances and proper tissues.”

Courses would involve managing washrooms by the highest standards in design and sanitation technology, said Lau. Malaysia’s government recently said it wanted to start a “toilet revolution” in a country where public restrooms have long nauseated citizens and tourists with their lack of basic items such as toilet paper, soap and sometimes even toilet seats. Lau said his ministry plans to soon introduce a system for the public to lodge complaints about filthy toilets via cell phone text messages. Other recent measures have included setting up modern self-cleaning toilets in popular shopping districts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s largest city, and scrapping the business licenses of restaurants found to have foul lavatories.

President order’s "God Save the Queen" Sung

Posted by Joseph on April 22, 2006

President Michael R. Avery,

April 21, 2006, occasion of Her Majesty’s Birthday(AP) CINCINNATI – The President yesterday issued special birthday greetings to Her Majesty, Elizabeth II of Canada. The President wished her “a very happy birthday” and on prompting from one of the peers of the Canadian realm, the President invited the congress to stand and sing “God Save the Queen.” The congress approved this measure by a standing vote of confidence in the President’s leadership. Approximately thirty members of the British Commonwealth and Empire were present to witness this historic occasion, in which “God Save the Queen” once again was sung by the President and congress.
